The Passeig de Gràcia Association is committed to carrying out a sustainable management of its activities, through the adoption of commitments aimed at preventing, eliminating or reducing the impact of our facilities and activities, both internal and external, in the environment, as well as improving our sustainability by improving our behaviour with the environment. The Passeig de Gràcia Association prioritises, among its strategic lines, the commitment to reinforce and apply environmental and sustainability criteria in all possible actions and processes. The Association integrates its policies and management systems in the economic, social and environmental fields to promote awareness on the preservation of the natural and cultural environment among staff and citizens. Likewise, the organization is governed by a code of ethics that includes the commitments of good governance and socially responsible behaviour. Consistent with these lines of action, the Passeig de Gràcia Association is aware of the importance of maintaining sustainable tourism development. The Association assumes the principles of the World Charter for Sustainable Tourism +20 and, to this end, has adopted this Responsible Tourism Policy, through which it undertakes to comply with the requirements established in the adherence to the BIOSPHERE Commitment, which includes, among other things, the legal requirements that regulate the effects generated by the tourist activity.

In this same sense, our company has adopted the following Responsible Tourism Policy, through which it undertakes to comply with the requirements established in the Biosphere membership, which includes, among other things, the legal requirements governing the effects generated by the tourist activity:

Promote the efficient use of resources, environmental protection and climate change.

  • Encourage collaboration and the establishment of strategic relationships with the city’s tourist agents as well as international ones who work in a sustainable way.
  • Maximize the positive impacts to increase both the corporate reputation and that of the destination Passeig de Gràcia and Barcelona.
  • Establish a management system to prevent, reduce and eliminate the environmental impact arising from our activity.
  • Encourage the saving of natural resources, raw materials and energy, rationalizing consumption through the adoption of the necessary measures.
  • Promote the reduction and recovery (reuse, recycling and recovery) of waste generated both by our activity and by the members of the Association.
  • Apply the responsible purchasing policy defined by the Association for the contract of suppliers of products and supplies.
  • Apply, communicate and promote our Responsible Tourism Policy so that the guidelines set out in it are observed, promoting their active participation in environmental management and in improving the quality and protection of the environment.
  • Establish objectives and goals that allow us to assume the commitments of this statement, as well as carry out continuous monitoring of the environmental impact of the activity and work on continuous improvement with respect to the environment.

To achieve these commitments, the collaboration of our entire team, our customers and partners, collaborators and suppliers is necessary, with the aim of understanding and assuming their measures and proposals.
