Paseo de Gracia, the place chosen by Céline to open its first store in Spain
The luxury brand has decided to land at number 91 of Paseo de Gracia, former Loewe store.
Céline is a French brand founded in 1945 by Céline Vipiana and her husband, who created one of the first luxury brands in the industry. In the beginning, they produced handmade shoes for the younger family members, until they decided to focus its business in ready-to-wear fashion for women with a sporty approach. Among its highlights are the leather materials and production quality, for that reason Céline decided to open a factory of leather goods in Florence.
Since 1973 the brand began its international expansion with the opening of several boutiques in Monte Carlo, Geneva, Hong Kong, Lausanne, Toronto and Beverly Hills. In 1998 the luxury corporation LVMH added Céline to its brand portfolio, and they count with the collaboration of stellar designers like Michael Kors and Roberto Menichetti. Since 2008 the creative direction is at the hands of Phoebe Philo.
This new first opening in the Spanish market has been highly acclaimed by fans of the brand. The official opening date is still unknown but we are sure it will be a major event given the usual sophistication of this brand.
