3 intense days to immerse yourself in the world of comics
After a visit to the famous modernist buildings and the most renowned boutiques of Passeig de Gràcia, an interesting proposal could be a cultural immersion of a few hours in the world of comics. In only 6 subway stops from the station “Passeig de Gràcia”, going down in “Plaça Espanya”, it is held between April 5 and 7, the 37th edition of the Comic Barcelona contest, one of the essential appointments that the city offers to lovers of comics. Fira Barcelona Montjuïc hosts this fair that, this year, adds new spaces and new activities for both experts in the field and the general public, and also increases its space.

The exhibitions are one of the attractions of the 37 Comic Barcelona, and among the many that can be enjoyed this year there is one dedicated to the recently disappeared Stan Lee, creator of the most emblematic superheroes of Marvel universe, so present in the world of cinema and television. There will also be a exhibition dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and another dedicated to the relationship between rock and roll and underground comics.
Also noteworthy is the presence of international guests, professionals who dedicate their works to the fans, participate in meetings with them and give master classes and lectures. The Italian Milo Manara and the American Daniel Clowes are two of the most prominent guests of this edition.
Some of the spaces of Comic Barcelona are a stage that will host performances, concerts and cosplay contests, a children’s area aimed at introducing children to the world of comics and an auditorium in which screenings will be held.
