Vinçon, the emblematic establishment closes its doors
Its close relationship with architects and emerging designers coupled with the quality and originality of the products made of Vinçon a myth, that in 1995 received the National Design Award for its “contribution to the promotion of the design culture”.
This piece of news has shocked and hit both the local commerce and the catalan society in general, and has transcended the frontiers, as Vinçon was a shop visited by many tourists with artistic and cultural callings, and it figured on the best design guides all over the world.
The city will miss its original and meaningful shop windows as well as the iconic red brand illuminating the nights of Passeig de Gràcia. In the hope of seeing Vinçon open again we say goodbye to this brand; thank you for everything you have done for Barcelona’s image.
