New conference on security in Passeig de Gràcia

Last Friday November 15th, the Majestic Hotel & Spa Barcelona 5*GL was the setting for a new conference on safety in the establishments of Passeig de Gràcia, a topic on which the Association has been placing special emphasis in recent months. 

The event was attended by authorities from the Mossos d’Esquadra, the Guàrdia Urbana and the Ajuntament de Barcelona, as well as by the President of the Passeig de Gràcia Association, Mr. Luis Sans, who explained the different measures being taken by both the authorities and the shopkeepers to prevent any type of criminal act that may occur.

Among the measures, it is worth noting the increase in the number of agents who will patrol Passeig de Gràcia and its adjacent streets, both in uniform and in civilian clothes. The Association also wanted to emphasize the pressure that is being made from the Association so that the recidivism of thefts is again punished with jail, and not with economic fines as until now.

And among the outstanding projects for the future is the installation of security cameras in Passeig de Gràcia, a step that would be considered a key to crime prevention and would represent a great advance in security. 

The Mossos and Guàrdia Urbana wanted to highlight the efforts being made to prevent crime in Passeig de Gràcia and adjacent streets.

The morning ended with questions from the attendees who filled the conference room of the Majestic Hotel & Spa Barcelona 5*GL.
