If you consider yourself a meat lover, today it’s your lucky day! Lomo Alto, a restaurant specialized in old cattle meat from Iberian races, has just opened it’s doors near to Paseo de Gracia.
Lomo Alto with almost 1.ooo m2 has been decorated by the well known interior designer Lázaro Rosas Violán, and it has something that makes the space a unique place: it’s inside a butchery and it’s decorated with 55.000 white tiles. Inside the restaurant there are two main spaces: Lomo Alto, on the first floor and specialized in selected meats, and Lomo Bajo, on the lower floor where you can eat sandwiches of matured meat and hamburgers.
One of the particularities of Lomo Alto is the advice that the client receives from the butchers and also being able to choose between the meat races and the cuts in relation with the cooking time. For those who still are hungry, there is a huge national cheese selection and a trolley with homemade desserts.
However, Lomo Bajo it has a more dynamic ambiance, decorated with Andy Warhol art. It’s the fastest option to taste the selection of sandwiches and hamburgers with biological buns and with the best meat selections. The sandwiches can be served with a gin tonic, wine or beer.
