The Passeig de Gràcia Association joins the Barcelona Biosphere Commitment to Sustainable Tourism and is in the process of obtaining this certification through the implementation of improvements that are committed to a responsible and respectful management of Passeig de Gràcia and the city.

Over the past year, more than 200 companies have joined this project. Of these, 50 companies from various sectors have already received their certificate, positioning themselves at the forefront of a model of respectful, sustainable tourism in harmony with their environment.

The project is promoted by the Barcelona City Council with the collaboration of Turisme de Barcelona and the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce, and its mission is to build a balanced tourism model for a more livable city and a more sustainable and sustained economy.

The project, which offers advice and distinguishes tourism companies that are firmly committed to environmentally responsible management, labor improvements, gender equality and special consideration for culture, aims to promote a new, more sustainable business model that will benefit the tourism industry as a whole and, therefore, society as a whole.
