Paula’s Ibiza 2020, A Bohemian And Supportive Collection by LOEWE
The most colorful summer comes from LOEWE and its Paula’s Ibiza 2020 collection that celebrates the bohemian, joyful spirit of escape from the Balearic Islands, and includes a special selection that incorporates the yellow circle of the Smiley®. This launch also collaborates with solidarity purposes for children.
The collection includes coastal and bohemian-inspired women’s garments that capture the carefree atmosphere of the Balearic Islands, with small subversive touches of evening wear, and in men’s fashion we find acidic tones that combine with cheerful prints and organic textures to reflect that free and bohemian spirit. Of course, there is no lack of accessories for both, where vibrant bags or handmade baskets by artisans from around the world stand out.
The collection features summer essentials, a range of soft cotton T-shirts in a kaleidoscope of colors, combining idiosyncratic details and iconic prints from the archives.
Similarly, it includes colorful accessories ranging from faded hats to acetate sunglasses in neon tones, through fun animal charms or different styles of sandals and espadrilles.
As Jonathan Anderson, LOEWE’s creative director, says: “This year, Paula’s Ibiza is a happy and undoubtedly escapist collection”.
Featured space for Paula’s Ibiza 2020 Smiley® drop, showing the cheerful circle of the Smiley®, highlighted on mosaics on T-shirts, in contrast on black and white or highlighted in neon colors on basket bags. In this way LOEWE celebrates the Acid House and the Summer of Love of the late 80s.
Smiley®, a registered trademark created in the early 70’s by Pierre Lazareff, today reconverted into a charity that donates part of the benefits to social works around the world, SmileyWorld, was the symbol of that Second Summer of Love and the main reason for the new summer drop of Paula’s Ibiza special collection.
LOEWE celebrates the second phase of the collaboration with Plataforma de Infancia, a Spanish association formed by different social organizations dedicated to the protection of the rights of young people, children and teenagers. The brand thus collaborates with up to a total of eight NGOs, to ensure a better future for children affected by COVID-19.
The first donation amounts to 500,000 euros, a figure achieved until June 10th from the 40 euros donated for each piece sold from Paula’s Ibiza 2020 fashion collection.
You can now enjoy this cheerful collection in the LOEWE store at Passeig de Gràcia 35.
