Passeig de Gràcia Association presents the new Christimas illumination
The Association of Passeig de Gràcia presented the new Christmas lighting 2016/18, at a ceremony held in the Wynwood Point space which brought together more than 60 partners, institutions and collaborators of the Association.
As Jordi Ballesta said from Anoche Iluminación, studio responsible for the lighting design, “the idea was to innovate but taking care of the Christmas tradition.” This year 74 bright stars and 39 banners will illuminate Paseo de Gracia’s Christmas from 24 November until 6 January. These lamps, which will hang from the center lane and both sides, have been built to achieve energy savings of 70%.
At the press conference held after the presentation ceremony for the members, and attended by local and national print media, television and radio, Mr. Sans reivindicate the obsolescence of Energy Saving Decree from Generalitat de Catalunya that establishes restricted schedules based on energy consumption for years of this type of lighting, and for this reason the Association has requested the change of this decree for next year.
