The Passeig De Gràcia Association Against The Tactical Urbanism Of The City Council
The president of the Passeig de Gràcia Association, Mr. Luis Sans, along with representatives of other organizations such as Barcelona Oberta, Amics de les Rambles, Born Comerç and Barnacentre, has held a meeting with the mayor of Barcelona in order to request a review of the measures that have been taken with regard to mobility in the city.
During this meeting, which was also attended by the First Deputy Mayor, Jaume Collboni and the Councillor for Trade, Montserrat Ballarín, representatives of the trade associations asked the City Council to modify the mobility plan and traffic restrictions implemented in recent months, as it negatively affects the commercial and catering sector of the city, by not facilitating access to major commercial routes.
The City Council has committed itself to reviewing some points, especially with regard to the street cuts on Saturdays, since this is the day of the week with the greatest commercial activity. The meeting was used to demand more security and cleanliness in the city.
