At the stand of the Catalan Tourism Agency, Passeig de Gràcia has attended the first edition of ILTM Singapore, an important fair linked at the luxury tourism market in Southeast Asia and the Pacific. So far all of these countries were represented in the ILTM Asia that has been taking place in Shanghai for years, but since then the two fairs have been separated.

Thus, Passeig de Gràcia -which has already been attending ILT Asia- has been able to see and interview travel agents from Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand; there was also talk with a couple of agencies in China and India, since May and June are school vacation times in these countries.

On this occasion, and as it had done in 2017 in Shanghai, Passeig de Gràcia shared its space with the Hotel Omm, with the intention of increasing the investment of the participation and generating synergies. The interviews are fifteen minutes and they let you know what kind of clients these agencies have.

On the opening day, the Catalan Tourism Agency organized training sessions for the participants, with representatives of Turisme de Barcelona, the Costa Brava Board of Trustees, FC Barcelona, Premium Traveler, Montserrat and Torres. These presentations discussed, among other topics, new trends related to luxury, fashion and new technologies, and addressed issues such as artificial intelligence, augmented reality, facial recognition and payment through the mobile phone; all of this, from applications that are already being used in Asia.  There was also talk about Wellbeing, an upward trend linked to mental, physical and spiritual care, which translates into exclusive and luxurious experiences. Another issue was the loss of importance that new generations will give to brands, and how they are more interested in ethical issues and sustainability.

During the fair, those responsible for Passeig de Gràcia had meetings with about 55 travel agents, although more contacts were made thanks to some networking actions. All these agencies work with hotels in Barcelona, mainly located on Passeig de Gràcia and some with the Hotel Arts and the Hotel W.
