Cinc d'Oros, the proposal with Cava from the Majestic Hotel & Spa Barcelona, becomes the Cocktail Barcelona

The Cocktail Boulevard festival, held on Paseo de Gracia from November 14th to 24th, has announced the cocktail that best represents the city of Barcelona after a popular vote through social networks. The winner, and therefore chosen as the cocktail that best represents our city, was Cinc d’Oros, the proposal of El Bar del Majestic of the Majestic Hotel & Spa Barcelona, with 61% of the votes. Boca Chica and Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona, were the finalists in the competition for the title, which was finally surpassed by this original creation by bartender Alessandro Quinzi.

In the words of Alessandro Quinzi: “I would like to thank the Majestic Hotel & Spa Barcelona and the Passeig de Gràcia Association for giving me the opportunity to be the author of the Cocktail Barcelona, Cinc d’Oros. This opportunity has served to give visibility to the art of cocktail brewing, which has been gaining strength in recent years. The cocktail is inspired by the most classic and historical Barcelona merged with the most innovative and current Barcelona”.

Cocktail Boulevard is the first festival that Passeig de Gràcia has organized to promote the talent of its bartenders, offering cocktails with Cava and without alcohol at popular prices. Like La Nit de Passeig de Gràcia or Passeig de Gourmets, this is one of the many initiatives promoted by the Passeig de Gràcia Association to publicize everything that happens on Barcelona’s most cosmopolitan avenue.

Mr. Luis Sans, president of the Passeig de Gràcia Association, has stated that “it is initiatives like this that help us to show how alive Passeig de Gràcia is. And we are immensely happy to have the Cocktail Barcelona in such an emblematic place for the city as the Majestic Hotel & Spa”.
