New Edition of 48H Open House BCN on October 24th and 25th, 2020
One more year this attractive proposal arrives for the weekend of October 24 and 25: the main appointment of Barcelona with the architecture, two days of open doors to more than 150 buildings of the city. An initiative of the association 48h Open House Barcelona.
Under the slogan ‘The Healthy City’ this year’s edition is adapted to the current situation, with face-to-face and virtual activities, and adopting all the measures of PROCICAT, as the registration of all visitors at the entrance of the buildings, reduced capacity, use of mask in all spaces and distance, among other measures.
The 48 hours of open doors have been grouped into areas that can be covered on foot with a maximum distance of 15 minutes, with different itineraries around the city to discover the architectural secrets of some of the most interesting buildings in Barcelona, and among them you can’t miss the visit to CASA SEAT and Fundació Antoni Tàpies.
At CASA SEAT, exclusive visits will be made to delve into details of the space, such as the curved glass of the facade which is the largest in Spain and unique in the world, in addition to enjoying the color that provides a very special natural light within the space.
The visit to the Fundació Antoni Tàpies will delve into this architectural jewel, considered one of the first modernist works in the city, which was originally the headquarters of the former Editorial Montaner i Simón.
