Repsol celebrates 50 years of competition with a vehicle exhibition in Passeig de Gràcia

Until next June 16, and coinciding with the celebration of the Grand Prix of Catalonia Motorcycling, Repsol wants to celebrate its 50 years in competition in a very special way.

The shops, hotels and restaurants of Passeig de Gràcia will be the “box” of some of the mythical vehicles that the brand has sponsored throughout these five decades, in which it has always opted for motor sport in Motorcycling competitions , Formula 1, the Trial or the rallies.

In an act held in the terrace of the Hotel Casa Fuster, presented by the motor journalist Josep Lluís Merlos, several of the pilots that Repsol has sponsored throughout its history, have explained their experience and the memories of their years of trajectory in motor world.

There were pilots like Pedro Martinez de la Rosa, Àlex Crivillé or Nani Roma, who have been accompanied by other legends of the two and the four wheels as Marc Coma, Emili Alzamora, Joan Porcar, Luis Perez Sala, Salvador Servià, Salvador Canyellas, Lucas Cruz , Carles Cardús or Jaime Alguersuari father and son, among others.

During the next 10 days, the participating establishments in this celebration will exhibit vehicles such as the Arrows A20 with which Pedro Martinez de la Rosa debuted in Formula 1 in 1999, the Honda RC213V with which Marc Màrquez runs this year in the Moto category GP or the legendary Derbi 50 GP with which Ángel Nieto got the second place in the World Championship in 1971, in which it was the first participation of the brand in the competition.
