Opening summer Terrace of Hotel Claris
On Thursday June 15, the Claris Hotel inaugurated the summer season with a great party in the “Terraza del Claris”. This year the traditional Barcelona event was special because it was celebrated the 25 years of the hotel, opened during the Olympics in Barcelona 92.
With the president of the Derby Hotels Collection, Jordi Clos as host, more than 600 guests from the social, political and business fabric of Barcelona met as Agustí Colom, councilman of company and tourism of the City of Barcelona; Jaume Collboni, second deputy mayor of the Barcelona City Council; Artur Mas and his wife Helena Rakosnik; Carina Mejías, councilman of the municipal group Ciutadans; The former mayor Xavier Trias; Octavi Bono, General Director of Tourism of the Generalitat de Catalunya; Or Montserrat Ballarín, councilor of the Eixample district.
The terrace was decorated inspiring by the vegetation of the terrace and its vertical garden. The live music accompanied and animated a party where the guests could taste the new gastronomic proposal of the restaurant La Terraza del Claris, with the seal of the chef Aurelio Morales.
Its Mediterranean cuisine is based on local carefully chosen to offer an original and varied proposal. The kitchen of the restaurant will be open to diners, who will be able to watch live the elaboration of the dishes. Some of the dishes that were served during the party were a selection of refreshing détox juices, followed by the tiger milk tiger, gorgonzola snacks, red tuna tataki with Hijiki and May soy, the gin-tonic lollipops , Pesto clouds or the baileys of ratafía. It was a night of celebration, laughter and dancing under the stars and with spectacular views of Barcelona.
