New edition of the Old and Modern Antique Book Fair at Passeig de Gràcia

One more year, a new edition of the Old and Modern Antique Book Fair will be held on the Passeig de Gràcia until October 7 with thousands of visitors wanting to find the literary pearl that they have been searching for a long time.

This year has reached the 67th edition of this traditional fair, that brings booths from some of the best-known second-hand bookstores in the country, and that exposes both offers for all pockets and some jewels that only can buy the most demanding collectors.

It was celebrated for the first time in 1952 at the Plaza Universitat, the fair changed its headquarters to the Passeig de Gràcia a few years ago, and since then it has seen its popularity grow until it became one of the most beloved and visited in the city, and becoming a classic of the Mercè Festival.

This year, the traditional exhibition installed at its entrance will be dedicated to the well-known painter and draftsman Joan-Josep Tharrats. In addition, the novelty of this edition is the talks organized by the Gremi de Llibreters de Vell de Catalunya, which will be dedicated, among others, to Manuel de Pedrolo.
There are 36 booths that will occupy part of the Passeig de Gràcia this year, and that will allow both tourists and residents of Barcelona to discover the charm of this fair that we love so much.
