More than 60 organizations, including Passeig de Gràcia Association, signed the Citizen Commitment for Sustainability
On 7th February took place the official signing of the Commitment towards Sustainability 2012-2022: Barcelona for a more equitable, prosperous and self-sufficient. Within the 62 signatory organizations, there are 30 commercial areas and trade associations, 21 unions and six professional schools, as well as five other entities economic activities.
It is a document prepared in 2012, which was attended by the signatory organizations, and the strategic value and shows the inspiring desire and established 10 main objectives, each with 10 lines of action in horizon 2022. The goals are the preservation of biodiversity, social cohesion, reducing emissions harmful to public health or the rational use of resources.
The signing took place at the Saló de Cent of Barcelona City Council and was chaired by the Deputy Mayor of Ecology, Urban and Mobility of the City Council, Janet Sanz, and the Councillor for Commerce and Markets, Montserrat Ballarín.
