On Saturday, 21st of May is celebrated ‘La Nit dels Museus’, a day in which museums will not close its doors at 7 p.m. where you can discover the collections on a different schedule and totally free. In addition to visiting the exhibitions under another light, you will be able to enjoy concerts, performances, guided tours, shows, workshops and activities for the whole family.
Of the wide range of museums that have joined ‘La Nit dels Museus’, our recommendation is to visit the Fundació Antoni Tàpies which opens its doors from 19 pm to 1 am, and you will be able to enjoy a free guided visit to the current exhibitions, Documents d’acció. Obres de les col·leccions Denney i Cordier (1947-1965) y Antoni Tàpies. Col·lecció, 1955-1965, and also you will be able to see some sections of the La Fundació Suñol. In Fundació Antoni Tàpies there are also activities for families, in La Petita Nit, that will be focused to ensure that children also enjoy a different night.
On the other hand, the Fundació Suñol and La Pedrera will also open their doors on this magical night. To access inside La Pedrera you have to sign up previously on its website. ‘La Nit dels Museus’ is an initiative of the European Council that in 2016 reaches its twelfth edition and involves more than four thousand museums in 40 European countries.
