Annual dinner celebration and and XV edition of the "Amic del Passeig de Gràcia" Awards

One more year, the Passeig de Gràcia Association celebrated its annual dinner on Thursday, June 6, and presented the “Amic del Passeig de Gràcia” Awards. Each year recognize the work of a person, company or institution to make known the name of our city and the Passeig de Gràcia, contributing to its international prestige that we are so proud of.

This year, the dinner and subsequent awards ceremony held at the Majestic Hotel & Spa, with a menu prepared by the prestigious chef Nandu Jubany, and it was the perfect accompaniment for a night of celebration among all the members and friends of the Association.

During this night, the commemorative pin was also presented to the new members who have become part of the Passeig de Gràcia Association this past year: Cookiteca, Eichholtz, Eurohold, Fendi, Iberostar Paseo de Gracia, Loro Piana , Mimouca, Muji, Prada, Pur / Impur and Thai Spa Massage.

During the dinner, some of the actions that the Association has developed over the last year could be watched on the screens, as Passeig de Gourmets, which in only two editions has already established itself as one of the gastronomic events of reference in Barcelona, or as the new edition of The Shopping Night Barcelona, in addition to the various roadshows at fairs and events around the world in which it has participated and which aim to publicize the benefits of Passeig de Gràcia and Barcelona as a tourist destination .

Subsequently, the fifteenth edition of the “Amic del Passeig de Gràcia” Awards was presented to the Gremi de Llibreters de Catalunya, which was represented by its president, Mrs. Mª Carme Ferrer. A recognition of the work and effort of the Gremi to make Sant Jordi the best celebration of the International Book Day worldwide, and to bet on the center of Barcelona and especially Passeig de Gràcia for its celebration.

The most distinguished Mr. Agustí Colom, Councilor for Business and Tourism of the City Council of Barcelona and Mr. Lluís Sans, President of the Passeig de Gràcia Association, were in charge of the award ceremony.

Then, it was the turn for the speeches, with a special recognition for Mr. Miquel Valls as recognition for his work at the head of the Chamber of Commerce of Barcelona and the councilors who leave office after the last elections.

On behalf of all of them, the most illustrious Mr. Alberto Fernández Díaz, who was the most senior in the position, spoke to the very last Mr. Agustí Colom, who spoke in representation of l’Alcaldessa de Barcelona.

After that it was the traditional raffle among all the assistants of gifts donated by some of the establishments of the Association, and that put the colophon to a new night of celebration and very good atmosphere among all the attendees.

Finally, the Association wanted to recognize the dedication of our Manager Carlota Hurtado, who leaves office for a change in his career, and received an emotional tribute in the form of bouquet of flowers and warm applause from all attendees.
