GREAT SUCCESS OF "PASSEIG DE GOURMETS"
The first edition of the gastronomic festival of Passeig de Gràcia has been closed with “great success” and has exceeded the expectations of assistance from participating restaurants in the initiative, driven by the Passeig de Gràcia Association.
With the aim of attracting the citizens to the walk and show their gastronomic offer, the festival has become an essential appointment of the city.
The gastronomic proposals have had a great acceptance on the part of the citizenship. More than 8,000 dishes have been served from the 20 participating restaurants on the route of dishes and the “Show Cooking” have registered a full capacity in the 3 workshops conducted by prestigious chefs.
The tasting menus have attracted more than 1,500 diners and the spectacular “four-handed menus” by chefs Martín Berasategui and Paolo Casagrande; Carme Ruscalleda and Raül Balam; Joan Roca and Rafa Panatieri, and Nandu Jubany and David Romero, have been a resounding success.
One of the most beloved proposals, the charity dinner for the benefit of the Fundación Raíces and prepared by the chefs Enrique Valentí and Javier Muñoz Calero, raised more than 5,000 euros for the “Cocina Conciencia” project, which aims to train young people at risk of social exclusion in the gastronomic culture.
