The tourism sector has registered an intense commercial activity last November.
A cooperation agreement has been signed with Air China, to maintain promotional campaigns and keep positioning the Passeig de Gràcia as a destination for Chinese international customers.

From November 17th to the 19th, the IBTM, one of the most important international fairs on tourism held in the world, was visited and 49 contacts were made, with which it is intended to cover the following objectives:
– Promote the Passeig de Gràcia in several key international markets for members of the association.
– Create specific products and services in this segment to promote a greater international customers traffic to our destination.
– Improve distribution of the Welcome Card by addressing more specific targets.

On November 23th, we attended the III Congress on Asian Tourism organized by Casa Asia. This biennial congress is undoubtedly the most important of those promoted at a national level. The objectives we wanted to meet with our attendance were basically building a network of relevant contacts in this sector, being seen and gain intelligence on this specific matter to apply to our marketing and communication plan for 2016.

Finally, at the end the month, we attended a Fam Trip for travel agents of important Chinese agencies and tour operators organized by the Catalan Tourist Board. The agents, accompanied by the Director of the Catalunya Promotion Office in Shanghai, Antonio Li, enjoyed a tour through the Passeig de Gràcia, visiting three of our partners and dining at the area. We would also like to highlight the presence of PGS, the most important operator in terms of Chinese international customers traffic at a national destination level. One of the objectives included in our marketing and communication plan for 2016 is closing a trade agreement with them.
