On Friday 15 September, the Fortuny Circle, the Spanish association representing Spanish companies and high-end industries, celebrated its 6th edition of Fortuny Day for the first time in Barcelona.

The venue chosen for the event was the Capella Convent dels Àngels at the MACBA and discussed the digital experience in the high-end sector, with the participation of different expert speakers.

The event was hosted by Ainhoa ​​Grandes, President of the MACBA Foundation and host of the event. Carlos Falcó, Executive Chairman of Círculo Fortuny and Enrique Loewe, Honorary President of the Fortuny Circle.


The first speaker was Ian Rogers, LVMH Group’s Chief Digital Officer, to discuss the impact of the digital revolution on the high-end industry. Rogers explained that brands are currently facing a cultural challenge with the internet and the new perception that customers have about luxury.

The other main speaker was Sébastien Badault, MD France & Global BD Leader for Luxury Brands Category of Alibaba Group. Badault spoke about the new digital era of luxury in Asia and noted that in countries such as China, digital transformation and innovation affecting the luxury sector is spectacular and customers in markets such as China, want to buy a story before a brand.


To end the event, a round table moderated by Aleix Valls, Digital Senior Advisor of Grupo Colonial.
